New York, NY (PRWEB) February 5, 2010
Expect warm rays this Sunday at Sun Life Stadium, the recently renovated site where the New Orleans Saints will square off against the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV. Given that the game is in South Florida, weather can be forecast with relative ease, but many other issues on tap this weekend have observers split - even the text-messaging community at Snackable Media's leading digital content provider, Predicto Mobile.
Members of Predicto vote by SMS on a range of currents events and news topics. Often, their votes prove accurate: last year 70% of the service's voters correctly predicted that the Steelers would walk away champions of Super Bowl XLIII, and 85% even guessed right about the viewing audience. This year the latter topic is a focus of much discussion, with the NFL expecting viewership records to be shattered on Sunday. Predicto voters agree wholeheartedly, with 73% going so far as to predict that more than 100 million viewers will tune in. Pushing the total to 9-figures would be a first for a Super Bowl.
While it's likely that far fewer eyes will be on Saturday's Lingerie Bowl, the audience is sure to be equally enthusiastic. The scantily clad game will also be held in the Miami area, and will no doubt play host to as many scandalous rumors as it does racy outfits. 54% of Predicto Mobile voters think one of Jon Gosselin's or Tiger Woods' alleged mistresses is sure to appear among the hot ladies taking the field.
Even more dominant in water-cooler conversation around this year's event has been the furor caused by a proposed pro-life ad featuring Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow. On a day when the commercials receive as much attention as the actual game, tons of viewers will look to see how this particular story will play out. Predictably, the views on this issue are divided: only 45% of Predicto voters think the Tebow ad will get pulled.
Other popular predictions among the Predicto Community cover everything from the chances that the Saints' Reggie Bush will propose to girlfriend Kim Kardashian post-game (60% say he'll definitely drop to one knee before March 1), to who will be crowned MVP (sorry, N.O. - it's Peyton Manning by a landslide in this one). Voters don't necessarily believe the game will be a nail-biter, with 80% predicting it will be won by at least one touchdown. Yet on the most important question come kick-off, the Predicto Mobile community is split 50/50 on whether the Saints or Colts will win Super Bowl XLIV. What's your prediction?
