Two Central North Carolina Events Selected for STS Top 20

Two premier events submitted by the Convention & Visitors Bureau of Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen North Carolina have been selected by the Southeast Tourism Society for its summer Top 20 events listing.

Southern Pines, NC (Vocus) February 5, 2010

The Southeast Tourism Society (STS) announced today that two events submitted by the Convention & Visitors Bureau of Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen North Carolina for consideration as Top 20 events in the southeast were selected for the summer season. “Independence Day in the Pinehurst Area” in July, and “The US Kids Golf Championship” in August made the list.

Submissions from all over the southeast were considered. The criteria for selection are the event must be running for at least 3 years and attract at least 1,000 attendees.

STS promotes travel, sustainable tourism, and the importance of the travel and tourism industry in 12 Southeastern states.
