What can I do as a parent to help my child receive the best education in the public school?
Rosenberg, TX (Vocus) February 6, 2010
With almost thirty years of experience as an educator and administrator in a public school, author Michael D. Buford, B.A., M. Ed. observed that the consistent, “prime ingredient” for student success and attainment of quality education has always been the parent. In his new book, Back to School for Parents, he explores and shares this concept.
“What can I do as a parent to help my child receive the best education in the public school?” Buford answers this single most important question to parents with children in public schools in his new book. Back to School for Parents provides information, strategies, and recommended “plans of action” to assist parents in improving the opportunity for success in the public classroom for their school-age children. It also assists them in acquiring certain knowledge and skills to increase their participation in their children’s education both at home and at school. Lastly, it helps develop positive attitudes for parents and students of the necessity for consistent and persistent parental involvement for enhanced student achievement and the acquisition of a quality education.
Furthermore, special activities and instruments are included to help the parent evaluate the attainment of his or her goals. Informative and helpful, Back to School for Parents is for the serious-minded parent who is willing to make the necessary sacrifices for their children to receive a quality education in the public school and beyond.
