Hartford, CT (PRWEB) February 8, 2010
In the new decade, businesses will see the increased use of e-technology. Optimized websites, blogs, eNewletters and online social networks are just a few of the many tools Connecticut businesses can use to streamline operations and create new prospects. On Thursday, February 25, the Hartford Business Journal will host the second E-Technology Summit & Strateg-E Awards at Maneeley's in South Windsor from 7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
The educational event will host the region's leaders in website design, search, eNewsletters, e-advertising, blogs, social networks, business automation and integration for a series of interactive breakout workshops and panel discussions. Mark Roberge, VP Sales, HubSpot, an Internet marketing software company based in Cambridge, Mass., will serve as the event's keynote speaker.
"E-Technology can be an innovative and cost-cutting way for Connecticut businesses to help advance in this economy," said Gail Lebert, publisher of Hartford Business Journal. "We had great success with our first E-Technology Summit last year and are ready to bring fresh ideas to attendees."
Statistics support the growing use of e-technology. According to Small Business Trends, 74.1% of small business owners will increase their email marketing budget and 68.3% will increase their social media spending in 2010.
The event will also host the Strateg-E Awards recognizing six winning entrepreneurs and companies exemplifying successful and profitable e-technology use and implementation in categories including: Easiest Website to Navigate; Easiest Website to Buy Products and Services from; Best Use of Web-Based Video; Best Use of Blogs; Best Use of eNewsletters; Best Use of Online Social Networks (Linked In, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
