It takes a Village to raise a Child
Macomb County, Michigan (Vocus) February 9, 2010
Mr. Oscar B. Nalls, III has written his first autobiography titled, Beyond The Blessing, One Man’s Journey In Overcoming Self-Defeat and Self-Hatred, that tells a story of heartache, with great sentimentality and no trace of apology. He gives advice throughout the book on the importance of parental involvement, warning signs of juvenile delinquency, and the impact that domestic violence, alcoholism, abuse and neglect can have on our children.
Oscar introduces the reader to his life’s journey as a troubled teen battling the scars that promoted hatred and pain, and how eventually an emotional rollercoaster of low self-esteem, self-defeat and self-hatred consumed his life and caused him to become a crumbled reflection of his pain. He credits the Special Education program as being a powerful influence that allowed him to reach beyond the challenges in his life, to become the man he is today. Readers will find out how author Oscar B. Nalls III faced and overcame all this as he shares his personal story of struggle and triumph in Beyond the Blessing, his new book released through Xlibris.
His story is empowering, inspirational, motivational and educational; it challenges every reader to re-evaluate their relationship with their children and to conduct a self evaluation. It shares the importance of providing a strong spiritual foundation and a positive home environment. Beyond The Blessing, shows that “It takes a Village to raise a Child”, and encourages parents to collaborate with the educational system to ensure that their children are receiving a quality education.
