This new online directory will allow health plans and hospitals to provide healthcare consumers with easy access to over 400 pre-recorded messages on general health topics. Patients will be able to listen to Audio Health Library topics found on their health plan or hospital's website.
A service typically bundled as part of their 24 x 7 Nurse Advice Line, SironaHealth's Audio Health Library provides three to five minute pre-recorded messages that cover a wide range of topics about general health, alternative care, and prescription drugs. Available in English and Spanish, patients can learn about a condition or diagnosis and gain a better understanding of appropriate care, with the option to speak with a nurse to discuss any remaining questions.
SironaHealth's telephone and online Audio Health Library directory utilizes content from Healthwise, the leading provider of printed and electronic medical information. Directory topics are up-to-date and seasonally relevant. Topics are reviewed every 3-6 months by SironaHealth's Clinical Advisory Board and the internal clinical team from Healthwise, and are refined according to actual contact-center experience and seasonal health needs. For example, seasonal flu and H1N1 flu topics have been added as of September 2009.
