International home furnishings retailer Crate and Barrel has chosen Strutta.com to develop and host the Crate and Barrel Ultimate Wedding contest platform.
The contest, co-sponsored by Crate and Barrel and popular lifestyle website DailyCandy, offers couples who create a Crate and Barrel registry a chance to win their Ultimate Wedding, valued at $100,000 and designed by celebrity wedding designer, Jo Gartin. The Strutta platform was used to create a custom contest site that is integrated with the Crate and Barrel registry.
The Crate and Barrel Ultimate Wedding contest launched February 1st and will run through March 31, 2010. Winners chosen by Crate and Barrel, DailyCandy and Jo Gartin will be announced in mid-April, 2010. Couples can enter by visiting http://www.crateandbarrel.com/ultimatewedding.
“This promotion is a first for Crate and Barrel and it was essential that we select a platform that was flexible, scalable and reliable,” said John Seebeck, Direct Marketing Business Director at Crate and Barrel. “We are very pleased with the Strutta contest platform and the level of service we have received.”
“We are excited to be working with Crate and Barrel on this campaign,” added Strutta CEO Ben Pickering. “It is a great example of how Strutta’s contest API can be utilized to create a customized and integrated consumer experience.”
Strutta's contest platform makes it easy to leverage the power of user generated content and social media to engage and activate consumers. Strutta has two primary products: a do-it-yourself tool that enables easy creation of a branded contest microsite and an API that allows for completely custom contest configuration. The Strutta API can be used to integrate features in to an existing site, build a custom contest site such as Crate and Barrel’s Ultimate Wedding site, or develop new applications on top of the Strutta contest platform.
