PushToTest(tm), the open source application performance management and test automation solutions company, today announced TestMaker 5.4 with enhancements to streamline user productivity by delivering scriptless test creation for Rich Internet Applications (RIA) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA.)

"The pace of innovation in today's application delivery is fueled by the availability of Web 2.0 applications such as Ajax, Flex/Flash, RSS/Atom, Social Networking, Wikis, Blogs and other interactive applications," said Frank Cohen, CEO and Founder of PushToTest. "Using the old proprietary test and monitoring tools in these new environments is expensive and poorly supported. TestMaker 5.4 delivers an open source testing and monitoring solution that is flexible to support a variety of new application types."

Analyst firm Gartner reports that Web 2.0 is going mainstream in 2010. PushToTest streamlines the testing and development for immediate adoption of RIA application technologies using Ajax, Flex/Flash and SOA.

"Emma has been able to achieve significant time savings by reusing the same test scripts for functional testing and load testing for our Ajax-based email marketing application," said Kendall Joseph, QA Coordinator at Emma. "I have worked with other testing vendors in the past and PushToTest delivers far superior support and value as a flexible, open source solution. The fact that this new version is built using Ajax shows that the company truly understands its customers' challenges in deploying RIA-based applications."

PushToTest TestMaker 5.4 delivers a more productive user experience for their its customers, employees, vendors and partners. TestMaker 5.4 furthers PushToTest products, services and methodologies to ensure reliable customer delivery of these RIA-based IT systems, including the ability to author, operate and derive actionable knowledge to unify an organization's application delivery from the business level to development, testing and production..

New capabilities in TestMaker 5.4 include:

  •     Scriptless test creation - point the mouse and click to create a test
  •     Built-in Root Cause Analysis and Correlation using Glassbox and Dynatrace monitoring services
