"My first beamer was designed in 1968 & remained in production for almost 30 years," CEO R.E.Trillwood said. "Our latest product is an evolution of this machine. It is the only small chamber, low voltage EB Welder currently designed & produced in the US"

Our new "Beamer" line of electron beam welding machines offers the consumers improved weld penetration, pinpoint beam accuracy, and increased welding speeds of up to 100 inches per minute. The Beamers are available in four different chamber sizes - 12", 18", 24", and 36". (Custom sizes available by special order.) http://www.ebeinc.com/electron_beam_welding.asp
How did we increase productivity? Well, by utilizing the knowledge, experience, and ingenuity of our experienced and dedicated staff we were able to improve upon several key areas that can directly affect product output. Items such as our newly developed low profile CNC table, utilizing improved user friendly programming; chamber extension tubes for vacuum chambers, and implementing all new digital controls with a touchscreen interface for easier monitoring and control of the system. All of the additional features when added to one of our Beamer Series electron beam welding machines can increase job shop productivity. Also in development is our machine interface that allows you to store all your welding data on a central server and with an internet connection we will be able to service the machines remotely.
Our new low profile CNC X-Y Table for electron beam welding machines is truly an innovative new product. The low profile and minimum volume of the new table reduces the space taken up inside the vacuum chamber thereby maximizing the space for the parts to be welded. http://www.ebeinc.com/cnc_systems.asp Other special features of the new CNC table are:
- High Vacuum compatibility
- Low stray magnetic fields
- Rapid acceleration and deceleration on turns
- The table top is replaceable should any accidental damage be incurred during the welding process (weld run off/on or over penetration)
- Light weight for easy removal from the chamber when cleaning or installing other tooling.
The chamber extension tubes (up to 20 feet) allow you to electron beam (EB) weld parts of unusual length in a high vacuum atmosphere that would not normally fit within one of the smaller size chambers.
The Beamer series new solid state power supply provides capabilities from 3KW to 5KW of beam power at 60KV and gives a wider range of weld penetration from 0.001" to 0.750". Welding speed has also increased from a maximum of 30 inches per minute with full accuracy and control to 100 inches per minute using the new CNC controls. This new power supply improves beam definition. Resulting in a focal spot reduction from 0.004" to 0.002" diameter. http://www.ebeinc.com/equipment_upgrades.asp
Digital controls and a touchscreen computer interface give the electron beam welding machine higher resolution with greater accuracy and stability for improved welding results. The status/report screen displays intimate details of the weld in real time as these details are particularly important during weld development when manual control of the beam is essential. High accuracy is maintained with the use of digital technology. The weld parameters can be saved and then repeated again on any future welding for that particular product. http://www.ebeinc.com/eb_and_laser_welding_machines.asp
