Aroma Workshops have been created to help wine lovers build their knowledge and confidence with all things wine.

Corcoran Vineyards, a world-class winery in Loudoun County, VA, announced today that it has launched a series of wine educational workshops.

Corcoran Vineyards has created eight exciting workshops that will improve your confidence when tasting wines. These unique workshops will help break down wine into individual components making the learning experience quite like none other.

The workshops are posted on our meet up site. http://www.meetup.com/corcoran-vineyards

Class sizes are limited to 20 guests per session due to the interactive nature of these workshops. Because of the setup required for this class, pre-registration and payment is required, no walk-ins allowed.

Corcoran Vineyards first workshop is a Barrel Tasting without Barrels. This workshop will be held in the winery on February 21st, 2010. This Workshop will focus on identifying Aromas and Flavors imparted by American, French and Hungarian Oak. Have you ever wondered what aromas and flavors are actually imparted on wines from different oaks? Have you ever wished you could identify with confidence the actual aromas and flavors you are actually tasting in the wines. After this workshop your confidence in recognizing these different oaks will become second nature.

After the workshop, you will have the opportunity to taste wines made with American, French and Hungarian Oak.

Corcoran Vineyards was founded in 2002 by Jim and Lori Corcoran. Their focus was to create world-class wines right here in Loudoun County. For the first time since opening, we are expanding that mission to include educational excellence with these workshops and hope that anyone who loves wine will take the opportunity to join us for an afternoon discovering the aromatic universe of wine.
