Conservatory Outlet recently held a get together for the owners of their dealerships to agree marketing strategy for 2010 and discuss new product developments.

Key to the meeting was the feedback we received from our dealers, which shapes the way we will do things in the next year

At the end of the Conservatory Outlet Dealer Conference held recently those attending asked for the event to be a regular feature of the calendar, with some key decisions having been made that stamped their mark on what is regarded by many as Britain’s best independent retail window, door and conservatory organisation .

This was just the second such meeting organised by Conservatory Outlet for their nine dealers who between them run 16 conservatory showrooms, at which they learned about the work that goes into maintaining the central web site and their individual web sites that are provided as part of their commitment to the network. They also had the opportunity to comment on a number of new product initiatives that had been researched, voting against some new hardware finishes but approving a new bi-fold door, thus demonstrating the very real influence they have in how Conservatory Outlet is structured.

Further discussions took place about sales incentives and marketing messages, in addition to reports on past, present and future sales and marketing performance. Results here were highly impressive, with more than 15,000 sales leads distributed amongst dealers during the previous 12 months, and a combined turnover of £32 million.

Matthew Glover, Managing Director of Conservatory Outlet quickly agreed to make this a regular event, at least annual: “I was very pleased to have the reaction we did,” he explained. “These are busy people and taking at least a day out of their schedules has to be worthwhile. Key to the meeting was the feedback we received from our dealers, which shapes the way we will do things in the next year.”

Conservatory Outlet are manufacturers of uPVC conservatories, windows and doors and have showrooms throughout northern England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
