I discovered Valentine at Comic-Con and after reading the series I knew this sassy, sexy and yet sensitive assassin was destined for the big screen.

Chautauqua Cordova Entertainment (C2 Entertainment) has optioned Valentine, a femme fatale comic book series written, illustrated and published by Daniel Cooney, owner of Red Eye Press http://www.valentinecom.com.
Valentine first made its debut at Comic-Con International in 1997 and is an ongoing series with the fourth volume, The Killing Moon, soon-to-be released in 2010. Valentine’s fan base covers a wide demographic consisting of fans of action thrillers, suspense and strong female leads who are smart and sexy yet strong and vulnerable at the same time.
President of C2, Anna M. Cordova, states Valentine is a significant addition to C2’s projects in development, “I discovered Valentine at Comic-Con and after reading the series I knew this sassy, sexy and yet sensitive assassin was destined for the big screen.”
The Comic-Con circuit buzz on Valentine is that it is a unique story about a not-so-ordinary woman who chooses extraordinary circumstances. Says Paul Dale Roberts of http://www.comicsbulletin.com, “Dana Valentine makes Vin Diesel’s Triple X character look like an amateur boy scout.” Marc Mason of moviepoopshoot.com adds “I suspect that agents across town would be sending their 20ish female clients in droves to try and get this part.”
Creator of the series, Daniel Cooney, says, “It’s a dream come true to see something I’ve created turned into a film to share with a wider audience, I couldn’t be more excited that C2 Entertainment helped make this a reality.”
Cooney is represented by Eric Reid at William Morris Endeavor. C2 is represented by attorney Kristin M. Schuh.
