Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will deliver his first-ever keynote to the search marketing industry on March 2 at Search Marketing Expo - SMX West, in Santa Clara, CA. Online and search marketers will be paying close attention to Ballmer's remarks for details about the future of Bing and for insight into the impact of the pending Microsoft-Yahoo! relationship.

The proposed 10-year relationship contemplates Yahoo! outsourcing search and search advertising technology to Microsoft, while continuing to play a key role in search advertising sales. The European Union is expected to approve the pact later this week.
