Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley LLC (TS&W) has chosen SunGard’s Asset Arena Portfolio Management solution as its core platform for portfolio accounting, performance measurement, client billing and reporting.

Our decision to implement SunGard's Asset Arena Portfolio Management involved many factors that should help TS&W to gain operational efficiencies and enhance client service

Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley LLC (TS&W) has chosen SunGard’s Asset Arena Portfolio Management solution as its core platform for portfolio accounting, performance measurement, client billing and reporting. An SEC-registered investment advisory firm headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, TS&W manages long-term assets for institutional, mutual fund, high net worth and retail (SMA) clients.

With a track record of successfully serving clients for more than four decades, TS&W is continually looking for ways to improve its operational architecture as a means to enhance service to its clients. TS&W selected SunGard’s Asset Arena for its breadth of functional coverage, and the real-time, browser-based nature of the platform. With Asset Arena, TS&W expects to be able to further integrate front-to-back processing and, through enhanced access to its data, increase operational efficiency and augment the quality of client reporting. By utilizing the platform on an application service provider (ASP) basis, TS&W will be able to access a sophisticated, high-availability platform that TSW expects will help the firm control costs and reduce operational risk.

“Our decision to implement SunGard’s Asset Arena Portfolio Management involved many factors that should help TS&W to gain operational efficiencies and enhance client service,” said Lori Anderson, director of operations at TS&W. “Not only does the solution offer the robust accounting functionality and performance measurement capabilities we require but, in SunGard, we found a provider that offers specialized customer support, broad expertise and an in-depth understanding of our business.”

Doug Morgan, president of SunGard’s institutional asset management business, said, “Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley understands the critical importance of streamlining investment operations to meet the evolving needs of its customers. It is therefore well positioned to respond to the changing requirements brought on by today’s complex regulatory environment. We are pleased that TS&W has chosen SunGard’s Asset Arena as a core platform for its business.”
