The 2010 Peloton Global Distribution Services® Member Conference

Peloton combines the efforts of our top brokers, affiliates, specialty companies, and the elite group of carriers we work with in one meeting to maximize our ability to affect each other as a whole and enhance our individual performance.

The 2010 Peloton Global Distribution Services® (Peloton®) member conference was a huge success with affiliates from CPS Insurance Services (CPS), 3 Mark Financial (3 Mark), and an impressive list of top insurance carriers and specialty companies in attendance. Each member walked away with a wealth of information on new products for the life, long term care, disability income insurance, and annuity industry.

Held February 1-3, 2010, at the Red Rock Casino, Resort, and Spa, in Las Vegas, NV the event attracted over 240 attendees and 23 exhibiting companies. Members arrived on Sunday January 31, 2010 to attend the special hospitality suite welcome party, try their luck in the casino, and settle into their guest rooms overlooking the picturesque Las Vegas Mountains and dazzling lights from the strip.

The three-day conference started with a variety of speakers from the home offices of CPS and 3 Mark followed by a round table discussion with affiliates. That afternoon and for the remainder of the conference, CPS and 3 Mark affiliates listened to presentations from representatives of the top life insurance and financial carriers with select Peloton member companies. Peter Holden, CEO and Co-Founder of CPS and Jerrell Clay, CEO and Co-Founder of 3 Mark kicked off the joint session with an introduction to Peloton, and expressed their aspirations to share resources and ideas.

“The purpose of the Peloton conference is to combine the efforts of our top brokers, affiliates, specialty companies and the elite group of carriers we work with in one meeting to maximize our ability to affect each other as a whole by building alliances and designing new valuable ways to enhance our individual performance. Similar to a Peloton in a cycling race accomplishes when team members are clustered together to save energy and feed off their shared power and strength, coming together in Las Vegas is a means for us to build momentum and achieve success together.’’ -- Peter Holden, CEO, CPS Insurance Services and Jerrell Clay, CEO, 3 Mark Financial.

This year’s conference featured informative and entertaining presentations from some of the industry’s top carriers, including Aegon-Transamerica/Western Reserve Life, American General, Aviva, AXA Equitable, ING, John Hancock, Lincoln Financial Group, MetLife, Mutual of Omaha, Prudential, and Protective/ West Coast Life. Each carrier delivered beneficial research, valuable sales ideas, and new products to keep in mind for 2010.

Highlights of the conference included presentations delivered by representatives from Prudential, Transamerica, and West Coast Life, who all discussed planning for the modern family and complex situations, offering new innovative products and solutions. Their presentations also included topics from state wide program cuts, taxes, the high U.S. deficit, and the economic turmoil Americans now face, indicating a public wide concern for families and future generations and a immediate need for life, long term care, disability income insurance, and annuity products.

Participants also heard helpful presentations from Peloton members Brilliant Blue, Continuum Worldwide, Disability Insurance Services, Outsell Consulting, and Superior Mobile Medics. Peloton members First Summit Financial and RJL Insurance Services, LLC shared information and participated inside the exhibitor’s arena. Also in attendance were representatives from American National Insurance Company, EBIX CRM, Express Imaging Services, Inc., iPipeline, PaperClip, Inc., and Savings Bank Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts to answer questions and hand out new material at their booths.

Overall, the conference was a huge success for the CPS, 3 Mark, and Peloton participants, as well as the carriers and exhibitors. Continued growth, as well as placing an emphasis on the importance of life insurance and products was the main focus of the presentations and meetings. This year’s conference illustrated the dedication Peloton members share to achieve continued success and offer excellent service and the newest technology and information available within the insurance industry.
