I was sad because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet

Anthony Catalano casts a ray of sunshine on the literary world as he unveils his acclaimed book on optimism, I Prescribe A Positive Vibe. Published through Xlibris, Catalano’s book evokes hope, promise, and rosy life views through rhyme and imagery.
I Prescribe A Positive Vibe is a collection of short essays and rhyming verses that expresses positive thinking and motivates readers to adopt such a state of mind. It dispenses words of inspiration and comfort that can be applied in various settings, encouraging anyone to remove oneself from the unpleasantness and see the good in any situation. Catalano employs stunning and breathtaking snapshots of nature and of life to reinforce his uplifting messages of unity amid diversity, love among families and friends, and hope despite loss.
Through I Prescribe A Positive Vibe, Catalano also tells his personal story and experiences of life’s downside. The central role his own optimism played in removing him out of a bleak perspective and into a more cheerful one is something he would like to pass on through his book. At 24 years of age, Anthony Catalano went from being an active healthy adult to a Quadriplegic through an accident at work. Part of his recovery was finding that the limits he had were mostly internal, and that by facing each day with a positive attitude led to successful and joyful days. In I Prescribe a Positive Vibe, Catalano shares insights and feelings that have helped him manage to keep his spirit and attitudes positive in the 24 years since that accident. With a mix of essays, free verse and photographs, Vibe is an inspirational book that reflects the values and relationships that Catalano found helped him the most with his challenges - that external limitations don’t have to also be internal ones.
The saying “I was sad because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet” is highly applicable here. Plenty of people feel they don’t have enough, and that the limitations they have can’t be overcome. Catalano has not only survived but overcame with grace and dignity, a situation that would break many others. I Prescribe a Positive Vibe provides inspiration to overcoming daily travails, and shows that there are no limitations that love, faith and a positive attitude cannot overcome. Catalano is a man with no feet, teaching the shoeless to make their own shoes. — San Francisco Book Review
