Thwapr is a new mobile-to-mobile video sharing platform.

Thwapr provides a platform for brands to reliably deliver video content to mobile devices in a high-quality format and the ability for the people receiving that content to share, comment and discuss with others within the mobile environment.

Thwapr, the new mobile-to-mobile video sharing platform, and NY-based branding and advertising firm, The Ad Store, have forged a strategic alliance to develop a new type of social mobile advertising utilizing Thwapr’s mobile video platform and service.

Thwapr provides a fun, fast, free and socially networked environment in which to share media content - mobile-to-mobile, mobile-to-Web, and Web-to-mobile. The platform allows users to share videos or photos captured with their device ("Thwapping") to one or many recipients and an ability to engage in rich media conversations (“ThwapBacks”). It is quite simply the most dependable and user-friendly way to share videos captured on mobile phones.

“Mobile advertising is on everyone’s lips these days and will only continue to grow. We pride ourselves on providing our clients new and innovative ways of reaching audiences,” said Brian Flatow, President, The Ad Store. "Thwapr provides a platform for brands to reliably deliver video content to mobile devices in a high-quality format and the ability for the people receiving that content to share, comment and discuss with others within the mobile environment."

The Ad Store has a close relationship with Thwapr starting with the creation of the Thwapr brand identity as well as incubating the early development team in its New York offices. The Ad Store has been instrumental in advising Thwapr on an advertising model and acting as a sounding board during development.

According to IT researcher Gartner, global mobile advertising revenues likely reached about $530 million last year, and could jump to $13.5 billion by 2013.

“Mobile advertising is at the heart of our business model,” says Bruce Goldstein, CEO of Thwapr. “To date, the biggest issue with mobile video advertising has been reliability. We have solved this issue and can deliver a high-quality message in a dynamic and shareable environment. From movie trailers to sporting events, shopping or dining, the Thwapr platform is truly a powerful way to reach people.”

Thwapr will be working with The Ad Store and its clients in developing new campaigns and looking for ways to mobilize existing video creative.
