Zayo Group’s Founder, President and CEO, Dan Caruso, will give the keynote presentation at Venture Capital in the Rockies on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 8:15amMST at the Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek, CO.
VCIR Winter showcases the rocky mountain region's most promising emerging growth companies for an audience of over 300 venture investors, CEOs, entrepreneurs and service professionals. Companies that have presented at VCIR Winter over the past 10 years have collectively generated nearly $5 billion in exit value for their stakeholders either through M&A transactions or public offerings. This year’s winter conference will be held from February 23rd though the 26th and showcase 20 companies, ranging from seed stage through mezzanine, and covering the spectrum from clean-tech, software, communications, and next generation internet.

Dan is involved with several companies in Colorado. Aside from Zayo Group, he is the Executive Chairman of Envysion, the leading Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS) provider based in Louisville, CO and a board member of VoIP provider, New Global Telecom, based in Golden, CO. Previously, Dan was President and CEO of ICG Communications. In 2004, he led a buyout of ICG and took it private. In 2006, ICG was sold to Level 3 for $170M, resulting in a total distribution to the buyout group and management of over $225M and a total return on investment of 25x. Dan was a senior executive and a founding employee of Level 3 Communications, one of the largest and highest profile start-ups in Colorado’s history.
