Firestone's Culinary Tavern in Frederick, Maryland's renowned historic district, has teamed up with the Marritott Fairfield Inn & Suites to offer a "Wine & Dine" Getaway package. The package also coincides with Frederick's first Restaurant Week March 8 - 14, 2010.

Firestone’s Culinary Tavern in Frederick, Maryland’s renowned historic district, has teamed up with the Marriott Frederick Fairfield Inn & Suites to offer a “Wine & Dine” Getaway package.

“This is our first partnership with the Marriott, and it offers a great value to those looking for a quick get-away,” says Kim Firestone, owner. “Whether you’re a couple in search of a memorable getaway, or friends looking for shopping, antiquing or entertainment, you can find it in downtown Frederick,” says Kathy Wasley, co-owner of Firestone’s. Frederick’s historic district has retained its distinctive architecture, while attracting a wide variety of locally-owned specialty shops, galleries, antique stores and historic sites.

The package ranges from $199 - $269, and includes a $70 gift card to Firestone’s Culinary Tavern, a special goodies welcome basket from Firestone’s Market on Market, deluxe accommodations for one night, continental breakfast for two and complimentary on-site parking.

“Firestone’s delivers fine, well-crafted food in a relaxed tavern atmosphere,” says Executive Chef Jack Walker. Customers have the option of being seated at tables on the mezzanine level, with highly sought after views of Market Street, or dining in the vibrant bar & lounge area on the lower level.

A 10-year veteran of Firestones, Walker is a 1994 graduate of Baltimore International Culinary College, and studied at the Park Hotel in County Cavan, Ireland. Walker has extensive experience in award-winning kitchens of the Baltimore and Mid-Maryland region, including Champagne Tonies/Owl Bar at The Belvedere Hotel, Baldwin station and locally, at Tauraso’s Restaurant and Trattoria.
