Tubular Instrumentation and Controls Acquires Automation USA

Tubular Instrumentation & Controls, LP (TIC), has acquired CSE Automation Engineering & Services, Inc., known as Automation USA (AUSA). Both companies are leaders in providing instrumentation and control systems as well as field service technicians and engineers to the Upstream and Midstream segments within the Oil and Gas Industries.

The combination of the capabilities of TIC and AUSA are complimentary to each other and offer exciting opportunities for all, including our customers, suppliers and employees.

Effective February 19, 2010, Tubular Instrumentation & Controls, LP (TIC), acquired CSE Automation Engineering & Services, Inc., known as Automation USA (AUSA). Mr. Mark Provine, current Chief Executive Officer at TIC, will assume the CEO role over both companies. Mr. John Rosso will be appointed Chief Operating Officer over both companies. Initially, the two companies will remain operating independently and under the same names.

The combined companies will continue to offer product manufacturing and field service capabilities out of their Houston, TX, Lafayette, LA and Marrero, LA facilities. “The combination of the capabilities of TIC and AUSA are complimentary to each other and offer exciting opportunities for all, including our customers, suppliers and employees”, stated Mr. Mark Provine, CEO. “From day one, we intend to offer access to all of the resources and skills of both companies to our current and future customers”.

Both companies are leaders in the Upstream and Midstream instrumentation and controls markets within the Oil and Gas Industries. The newly combined companies will have expertise in the design, manufacturing and installation of programmable logic control (PLC), pneumatic, electro-hydraulic and hydraulic control panel systems and safety shutdown systems. Both also offer a broad array of field service capabilities that can be deployed anywhere in the world and are performed by highly trained company field service engineers and technicians.

The combined resources and capabilities of TIC and AUSA will be able to better serve the needs of customers that operate within the on-shore, continental shelf and deep sea environments. “Our strategy is to be customer and market driven,” stated Mr. John Rosso, COO. “We will listen to our customers and continually work to be prepared to support their needs.”
