Upcoming Xlibris picture book delights children with cat tales

Wonderful illustrations and an engaging tale await readers as author Marissa Marshland shares the hysterical story of her family and her family of cats in an upcoming picture book, We Are Cat People.

Set in a pet-loving town in Louisiana, two sweet homeless cats showed up at Mr. Larry Leblanc’s home. They are named Mineau and Tiger. Mineau is a sleek, shiny, sweet, black female cat while Tiger is a tabby looking male cat. The Leblancs allowed them to be their two outside cats.

When Mineau went missing for months, Tiger was allowed to become an inside cat. But, one of the Leblanc's inside cats, Lady Deeana, began to beat up on Tiger. So he hides constantly and has to be on alert of her whereabouts. Will Tiger escape from Lady Deeana’s wrath of jealous hatred? What is it about Tiger that makes Lady Deeana not like Tiger, for he is always a gentleman? Will Miss Leblanc buy a new stove, or will she decide to cook around the spot where the cat event occurred?

Young readers are in for one unforgettable experience as they witness fun and affection displayed by cats and their homeowners in We Are Cat People. For more information on this book, log on to Xlibris.com.

About the Author
Over the years, Louisiana author Marissa Marshland began to realize that she had the ability to write a one-page short story using one or two true life facts. It was a year later that she would use the short story to build a longer fictional story. Presently, she has two other literary projects in the works. Marshland realized that words cannot describe fully how owning a pet can make one a better person. She just knows that a cat can bring joy, laughter, and love.
