Through monthly donation, Hahs urges others to do the same.

Joseph William Hahs, found online at http://www.josephhahs.com/, has been making a monthly donation to a cause that is dear to him and hopes that his actions will help to convince others to do the same.

“I know that we’re all dealing with the financial downturn that the country has taken, but it is imperative that people donate to the causes that mean a great deal to them, even if they can only donate a handful of dollars every month. That is the only thing that will get everybody through this economic situation,” said Mr. Hahs.

Mr. Hahs, who strongly believes that people should set aside a portion of their monthly income to donate to charity, has been sending a monthly donation to Mercy Smiles, which can be found online at http://www.mercysmiles.org.

Mercy Smiles is a ministry that is dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ to areas of India where the word of Jesus Christ has never been heard before. These areas include remote jungle settings, the poor areas of the city where the destitute live, as well as isolated villages. The charity was started by husband and wife founders, Norm and Karen Knudsen, who have made it their life’s work to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

Not only does Mercy Smiles bring the word of Christ to the isolated areas in India, they also provide care for hundreds of destitute children, as well as providing free Christian education and mobile medical clinics.

Through his monthly donation, William Joseph Hahs hopes to be able to inspire more people to donate to the causes that are important to them.

“Not everyone will want to donate to the Mercy Smiles ministry, and that is fine. What I feel is important is that the people see that they should do something to help other, less fortunate people in the world in any way they can.”
