Small Manufacturing Companies in Malaysia Could Gain Advantage in Competition for Global Outsourcing

CareWare Systems Sdn Bhd plans to rollout new bundled Sage Accpac Intelligence software to help small Malaysian manufacturing companies compete even more effectively against global competition.

Small manufacturing companies in Malaysia utilizing Sage Accpac ERP manufacturing software will soon stand a better chance of winning more business in the global competition for outsourced manufacturing when CareWare Systems Sdn Bhd, a leading reseller of Sage Accpac ERP in Malaysia, deploys its new software bundling strategy.

According to Robert Tan, managing partner of CareWare Systems and an expert at Sage Accpac manufacturing software implementations, for Malaysia’s small manufacturing outsourcers to be competitive with other countries they must win on both a cost and speed basis. “Manufacturing companies have little margin for error in today’s outsourcing market,” explains Tan. “Unplanned raw material cost increases, inefficient work order routing and accidental stock-outs can all have dire consequences for small manufacturing outsourcers.”

CareWare’s new software bundling strategy for small manufacturing companies coincides with a planned roll-out of Sage’s new business intelligence software, dubbed Sage Accpac Intelligence, for its global Sage Accpac ERP product line. “Starting in March, Sage Accpac ERP will come bundled with Sage Accpac Intelligence for any customers who are current on software maintenance and any new customers purchasing Sage Accpac,” says Tan.

Intense global competition puts additional pressure on small Malaysian manufacturers to keep their unit pricing low. Often, winning bids on outsourced manufacturing orders come down to fractional quantities requiring precise data that many small manufacturers are unable to discern without advanced analytical tools.

“Accpac Intelligence will give small manufacturing companies here in Malaysia the same degree of insight into their business operations that much larger ones have in other parts of the world,” Tan states. “A common reporting platform, data analyzed from and shared across multiple systems, a single management dashboard for timely decision-making – these features now come integrated with Sage Accpac manufacturing software.”

CareWare’s new strategy, which is scheduled to begin in late March, will offer small manufacturing companies the same degree of embedded business intelligence that was previously only available in expensive enterprise applications. “Armed with real-time insight accessed across the business, small manufacturers will greatly improve their chances of winning manufacturing orders,” Tan emphasizes. “The synchronization of Accpac Intelligence with manufacturing, sales data in CRM and accounting results will help Malaysian manufacturers spot business trends and react to changing dynamics which might otherwise have caught them by surprise.” Tan goes on to add, “We fully expect Accpac Intelligence to make a major difference in the ability of Malaysian manufacturing companies to not only win new orders but also improve their long-term profitability.”
