Company’s goal to “save a life a day” in 2010

“Once we learned that each pint of blood can save three lives, our goal for the year became to give enough blood as an office to save a life a day in 2010.”

DMC Atlanta, a leading face-to-face sales and marketing business, announced that they have partnered with LifeSouth Blood Centers to provide ongoing blood donations to the organization. LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is a community blood supplier for local hospitals in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

Ten team members from DMC Atlanta, along with President Adam Dorfman, recently participated in their first donation. After observing the work that the Red Cross was doing in the wake of the disaster in Haiti, managing partner Brittany Richard suggested the blood drive as an important team activity.

“We were looking for a way to make an immediate, lasting impact on our community through our own efforts – not just financial donations,” President Adam Dorfman said. “Once we learned that each pint of blood can save three lives, our goal for the year became to give enough blood as an office to save a life a day in 2010.”

President Adam Dorfman and DMC Atlanta have incorporated philanthropy as a major goal for their growing business. Earlier this year, the company collected and donated toys to “Toys for Tots,” an organization that collects toys to distribute to underprivileged children during the holiday season. In the near future, DMC Atlanta will also be sponsoring “500 Songs for Kids” and the Humane Society Pet Parade.

“We feel like partnering with LifeSouth enables us to provide a true gift of life to the recipients,” said Adam Dorfman. “Our team is committed to everything they do – and I’m extremely proud of our dedication and commitment to such an important organization.”
