In developing the mobile application and the private label platform, our goal is to provide even more targeting power and flexibility, which will allow our users to network more efficiently and effectively.
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 25, 2010
TTB Technologies, LLC, owner of the MeetingWave® platform, announces a strategic partnership and alliance with Seedlight Capital, LLC regarding the further commercialization and development of the platform, which helps members meet new clients, customers or contacts, while providing control, flexibility and privacy.
Launched in June 2007, MeetingWave’s core mission has been to help its members meet new people for business or social purposes, while providing them with control, privacy and flexibility in setting up these meetings. MeetingWave’s users can propose networking meetings that are open to anyone -- yet they can still maintain control over who can ultimately attend and whether the meeting occurs.
To help promote MeetingWave’s goals of providing its members with maximum privacy as well as flexibility, the site has a double-blind messaging feature that users can employ to communicate with each other without having to disclose their identity or contact information. Proposed meetings can be face-to-face (e.g., coffee, lunch, golf or other face-to-face activity) or virtual (e.g., Skype or teleconference). MeetingWave’s users are provided tools to set up networking meetings targeted at people with whom they want to meet – and at a time and place of their choosing. The control and flexibility built into MeetingWave helps its users network productively and efficiently.
The strategic relationship between TTB Technologies, LLC and Seedlight Capital, LLC leverages the respective strengths of each firm.
TTB Technologies, LLC currently owns the MeetingWave platform, and all related assets (including U.S. Patents 6,963,900 and 7,483,946, allowed U.S. Patent Application No. 12/286,565, and certain registered trademarks). These assets will be transferred from TTB Technologies, LLC to a newly formed corporate entity with new management.
Seedlight Capital, LLC will provide services including, among others, funding, product development, product management, strategic planning, business development, and recruiting.
MeetingWave’s next stage of development will include innovative mobile applications for the iPhone, Blackberry and Android platforms. The applications will allow users to meet new clients, customers or business contacts based on their location, while being provided with control, flexibility and privacy using MeetingWave’s patented technology.
MeetingWave is also developing “private label” functionality to license to third parties such as alumni associations, conferences, trade shows, hotels, corporations, firms and other third parties comprised of individuals with common interests or affiliations. The “private label” functionality will be provided in a closed, semi-closed and syndicated format. The company expects to launch an alpha version in March of this year.
“In developing the mobile application and the private label platform, our goal is to provide even more targeting power and flexibility, which will allow our users to network more efficiently and effectively,” explains MeetingWave founder John Boyd.
“In particular, with our mobile application, we envision our users – while going about their daily activities – being able to receive notifications on their smart phones that a fellow college alum or a potential client is around the corner and available for coffee or some other networking meeting,” adds Arif Ayub, Seedlight Capital partner.
