Client requests have inspired the majority of the new features in Version 9
Richmond, VA (Vocus) February 27, 2010
Mapcom Systems has released the newest version in its line of Geographical Operations Management (GOS) software, M4 Solutions. The release significantly improves workforce, fiber, conduit and circuit management operations while revolutionizing the file transfer process.
“Client requests have inspired the majority of the new features in Version 9,” said company President, John Granger. “Our ultimate goal is to improve our customers’ daily workflow and revenue.”
M4 Fiber has been transformed with the FTTH Autosplicing feature. Clients will have the ability to update their fiber records with fiber complements. M4 reads these complements and automatically creates splice and strand records accordingly, saving engineers hours of time.
M4 Circuit Manager now supports the client’s ability to track both physical and logical infrastructure which creates a new revenue opportunity for the sale and management of circuits to business customers.
M4 Conduit Management has also undergone renovation. It is now easier than ever to map conduit that is identical to duct and trench patterns in the field. Users can create subducts and microducts within conduit and add trenches.
The inclusion of the M4 Universal Translator will also revolutionize data import and export. Equipped with a library of over 200 formats, M4 Universal Translator can accommodate any mapping translation need. Users will also be able to create custom translation routines for frequent file sharing needs.
Client requests also spurred more efficient and effective workforce management in M4 Dispatch Manager. Advancements include updated search that allows dispatchers to identify tickets by customer information. In addition, M4 Dispatch Manager has been equipped with a customizable calendar tool; users will be able to display company specific service order, trouble ticket and time off information.
“The enhancements made to M4 in Version 9 will greatly impact the way our clients do business. Cutting edge autosplicing features, precise conduit management tools, a customizable workforce management interface and innovative technology will save our customers hours of work while providing invaluable geographically accurate information,” added Granger.
