Author Lois Chisholm adds another compassionate tale to her collection of nanny stories as she pens Valley in Autumn¬, released through Xlibris. A sequel to Valley of Shadows, this heart-rending novel continues to illuminate Cassie Knight’s compassionate services as a nanny, this time with a family recovering from a terrible experience.
Cassie Knight is getting old and wants to spend her remaining years resting and retired. However, when news of the Eggan family’s tale of murder and mayhem reaches her ears, she becomes determined to help this troubled family; she realizes that the children and adults need her.
Cassie works with them, helps them cope, and fills the family’s emptiness by sharing with them her positive outlook and sincere dedication. The scars she has gained from her early experiences gave her insights which aided the youngsters and adults through the difficult times. Soon, through Cassie’s strength and sunshine, the Eggans gain back the life they thought they had lost forever. Not wanting to let Cassie go, the family decides to take Cassie in, and to adopt her as their grandmother.
Poignant yet inspiring, Valley in Autumn¬ inculcates readers with genuine and moral concepts on sincerity, compassion, and love. It encourages readers to look at the bright side of every situation and not to lose faith in God. For more information on this book, log on to Xlibris.com.
