Lange joined SAP in 1993. As chief customer officer he was responsible for all major customer initiatives worldwide, including customer satisfaction and oversight of the company’s strategic global customers. In addition, he was responsible for SAP’s Business Process Outsourcing, Strategic Business Development and Customer Operations organizational units. Prior to this role, Lange was SAP’s executive vice president of sales and marketing for the United States, responsible for US sales, channels, alliance partners, hosting and marketing management activities for SAP America, Inc. His previous leadership roles at SAP also include senior vice president and general manager for the Manufacturing Sector-US, senior vice president for Global Supply Chain Management, senior vice president and general manager for Discrete Manufacturing-US, vice president of global accounts-US and vice president, Midwest Region. Prior to joining SAP, Lange held sales and senior management positions with firms in the enterprise software, consulting and technology industries, including Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), Firepond, Management Science America and Burroughs Corporation.
