Solsbury Partner Group brings together leading software firms with complementary technology services firms to bring joint solutions to market.

Solsbury Partner Group, a nationally managed alliance consulting firm, today announced that it has been retained by Unbound Commerce, a leading provider of mobile websites and applications, to build their Alliance and Channel Program. Unbound Commerce provides mobile capabilities for K&L Wines, Moosejaw and other leading online retailers. With an accelerated growth strategy, which includes forging strategic relationships with key systems integrators and resellers in the ecommerce space, Unbound Commerce has chosen to invest in an Alliance Management Firm to bring their core solution to market through a larger distribution channel.

“Unbound’s core growth strategy is through partnerships. We need a channel program and when we evaluated our options, we determined that using Solsbury Partner Group provided a very cost-effective way to get a partner program quickly launched and activated. They helped us identify the most promising partner targets for Unbound, and helped us develop a compelling value proposition for them,” said Keith Lietzke, Chief Marketing Officer for Unbound Commerce. “We have already seen a strong return in the few short weeks that we’ve been working together, and our newly-announced partnership with SkillNet Solutions is just the first major accomplishment.”

Solsbury Partner Group worked in collaboration with Unbound Commerce's business development and sales team to create the Alliance and Channel program. The team effort ensured that the resulting technology and business model would pave the path to attractive revenue generating opportunities for the right partners. Upon completion of this first phase of Solsbury Partner Group’s methodology, appropriate systems integrators and resellers were identified based on geographic reach, vertical alignment, or cross-functional solutions. SkillNet was identified as the first go-to partner for the retail industry, especially considering their strength in engaging with over fifty of the world's top retailers for multi-channel solutions.

"Our partnership with Unbound Commerce is timely. Going mobile this year has been identified as a critical area of need by several retailers, and we're excited to offer them a state-of-the-art solution based on the Unbound Commerce platform, " said Praveen Pahwa, VP of Internet Services at SkillNet. "Solsbury has demonstrated both strategic insight and domain acumen by getting SkillNet and Unbound Commerce to engage in an alliance that is mutually beneficial and brings enormous value to our clients."

“Our research indicates that nearly 90% of all partnerships in the industry fail, or don’t live up to their expectations. Given that our background spans both the software and services side of the industry, Solsbury Partner Group is uniquely suited to bridge divergent perspectives that typically accompany the formation of a partnership of this kind, thus increasing the probability for success for all parties.” said Savas Gunduz, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Solsbury Partner Group. “Software firms like Unbound Commerce benefit from our services because we help them build a model that is attractive to systems integrators. And, systems integrators benefit because their software firm partners are more equipped for a strategic partnership to create value for both parties. Ultimately, joint customers benefit with a cohesive software/services solution to meet their precise business needs.”
