With a sponsor like In-N-Out, an owner like Roger Burgess, and obviously a star like Melanie, it is an incredible opportunity for our company. At Red Line, we like to say it’s all about the technical aspects of helping the cars become more reliable and quick, but here it’s more than that. This is a collection of great people.

Red Line Synthetic Oil Company has agreed to an associate sponsorship program with R2B2 Racing, which includes the In-N-Out Burger Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car driven by Melanie Troxel, as well as the team’s Pro Modified cars driven by Troxel and team owner Roger Burgess in the NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series.

With seven national event victories in 16 final-round showings and the title of quickest and fastest female racer, Troxel’s challenge of driving in select events on the NHRA Full Throttle Funny Car Series and in the new NHRA Pro Modified class is an unprecedented act. Red Line products will be used in both racing programs, as well as the trucks, trailers, and pit equipment.

“The R2B2 team has a lot of talent, with veteran tuners and managers like Frank Hawley, Lance Larson, Robb Hauser, and Al Billes,” said Red Line president Tim Kerrigan. “With a sponsor like In-N-Out, an owner like Roger Burgess, and obviously a star like Melanie, it is an incredible opportunity for our company. At Red Line, we like to say it’s all about the technical aspects of helping the cars become more reliable and quick, but here it’s more than that. This is a collection of great people.”

Last year, Troxel drove a Pro Mod car for Burgess and managed to post the third quickest quarter-mile pass in history, a 5.829-second blast. She will still compete in the Pro Mod class in 2010 driving the In-N-Out Burger '63 Corvette at all 10 events series, the first year as an official NHRA category.
