BlogHer, Inc and The White House Project to Encourage Women to Run for Office at Sixth Annual BlogHer Conference

The two non-partisan powerhouses to provide training and encouragement to politically active women considering elective office.

BlogHer, the leading participatory news, entertainment and information network for women online, is partnering with The White House Project, the premier nonpartisan, nonprofit women's leadership training organization in the U.S., to produce a half-day workshop to help women bloggers with a politics and public policy bent become aspiring public servants.

Coinciding with the sixth annual BlogHer Conference in New York City, The White House Project Workshop at BlogHer will be held on August 5th, 2010 from 12-5PM.

The workshop agenda will include a panel conversation with women who have successfully attained various levels of government office. Attendees will share personal experiences and concrete advice about how to advance political ambitions. A skills training session will provide the kind of practical, tactical information needed to craft a strategy and plan to run for elective office.
