From author Shawn J. Lyons comes an illuminative and striking collection of stories about three spirits – an angel, a demon, and a man. Entitled To Hell and Back: A Trilogy of Spirits (Part One), this book is the beginning of an entertaining, non-threatening series of what God taught the author over the years.

This is a story about a wager between an angel and a demon over the direction a man’s life will take. Friends before the great rebellion in heaven, the angel and the demon must now face each other as enemies. Darnok the demon wants to turn him into a charismatic false prophet who would cause many souls to join Satan’s army. Olivia the angel thinks he is destined to become a great man of God who will lead many to Christ before the rapture of the church in the final days.

Although a work of fiction, this book is based on true events that occurred in the author’s life or in Biblical history. It shares readers with lessons to help them make the right decisions in life, to protect them from demonic entities, and help them to partake of the benefits of being in covenant with God.

“It is my desire that people reading this book will be able to identify with some of the challenges faced by the characters and be encouraged that they are not alone in their struggles,” Lyons states. “Salvation is instant but holiness is a lifelong journey with constant maintenance checks. I want to assure them that God loves them despite their shortcomings and still wants to use them to build His kingdom.”
