In celebration of the premier of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland film this month, the Lobby Lounge at Mandarin Oriental, New York is serving a delectable Mad Hatter Tea from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm daily beginning March 1 until April 30, 2010. The Lobby Lounge’s Mad Hatter Tea is priced at USD 42 per person and includes “Tweedle Tea Sandwiches,” a delightful offering of “Tweedle Crumb Desserts” and a selection of “Drink Me” teas.

The Lobby Lounge’s Mad Hatter Tea is priced at USD 42 per person and includes “Tweedle Tea Sandwiches,” a delightful offering of “Tweedle Crumb Desserts” and a selection of “Drink Me” teas.

The Mad Hatter Tea begins with Tweedle Tea Sandwiches, including cucumber, watercress and goat cheese mousse; truffled egg salad with English country ham and cornichons on brioche; smoked turkey with brie and lingonberry jam on raisin walnut bread; and smoked salmon and pickled red onion with Meyer lemon-caper mousse on pumpernickel. Tweedle Tea Sandwiches are followed by scrumptious Tweedle Crumbs Desserts, including a decadent selection of treats such as Cheshire Catcakes, Queen of Hearts Linzer Tarts, Mini Checkerboard Cakes and Petit Polka-Dot Cheesecake. The tea is accompanied by the Lobby Lounge’s signature Ginger Scones with clotted cream, a whimsical assortment of candies and cookies, in addition to a wide variety of tea.
