The series covers trending business and technology topics of interest to IT managers responsible for the administration of infrastructure and applications in support of their business.

The three-part series is free and open to the public and is scheduled for March 11th, March 25th, March 30th and April 1st. All sessions will be hosted by Kevin Gillis, Ipswitch’s vice president of product management, with an invited guest and will last approximately 30 minutes. All times are U.S. Eastern Time.

On March 11 at 10 a.m. EST, Gillis will present “Unmask the Truth in IT Management Software Licensing,” a frank and objective discussion on how the cost of software licensing impacts infrastructure management projects and ROI. The discussion will also compare WhatsUp Gold licensing costs with its competitors and will dissect the pros and cons of various licensing mechanisms. WhatsUp Gold user Brian Harrell, a WhatsUp Gold Premium Edition customer from the 20,000-student Judson Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas, will share his thoughts and experiences with the audience. Mr. Harrell is a former Solarwinds Orion user.

On March 25th at 10 a.m. EDT, Gillis will present “The New Breed of SMB infrastructure Management,” a review and discussion of the array of technologies used by typical small and medium-sized businesses and how IT organizations can best ensure a successful deployment. IT management industry expert Jim Metzler, of Ashton Metzler and Associates, will share his expertise on the ever-changing world of SMB IT management.

On March 31st at 10 a.m. EDT and April 1st at 2 p.m. EDT, Gillis and guest Jason Williams, product manager and The WhatsUp Guru for the network management division of Ipswitch, Inc., will introduce WhatsUp Gold 14.2, including WhatsUpVirtual and WhatsUp Gold Failover Manager. This webinar will include a product demonstration of this highly anticipated product release.
