bumble B design, a woman-owned online gift business based in Seattle, WA, is donating a portion of their Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift sales to the humanitarian aid organization, CARE.org. “I love the idea of a Mother’s Day or Father’s Day gift not only delighting the gift recipient with one of bumble B design’s personalized gift baskets, boxes or bags, but also benefiting those in less fortunate circumstances,” reflects owner Bevin B.Cooper Farkas.
From Mother’s Day Bags and Spa Baskets to Men's Bath Boxes and Munch Boxes, a portion of the proceeds of all bumble B design gifts ordered as Mother’s Day or Father’s Day gifts will go to CARE. In researching different aid organizations after the wake of devastating hurricanes in Haiti and Chile, Ms. Farkas gravitated toward CARE's focus on empowering struggling women as a means to help fight poverty, and felt the tie-in with gifts given for Mother's Day and Father's Day was a perfect fit. As Care's mission statement asserts, "We place special focus on working alongside poor women because, equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities escape poverty."
