We want the public to know that making a social impact can be an entertaining, fun activity
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 5, 2010
Today it was announced that Fansforcharity.com (http://www.fansforcharity.com) has officially launched. Fans for Charity is a new website that connects fans to the events they love and with the charitable causes they support.
Fans for Charity is a new, creative way to enjoy the things fans love most -- music, people and the act of giving. The premise is simple; fans log onto the site, choose a show they want to see. For example fans can choose to see Rihanna in London, Bon Jovi at New Meadowsland Stadium, AC/DC in Paris, or even Alicia Keys in Barcelona. Then fans enter a contest for $4.99 which consists of fun trivia's and a game.
At the completion of the game fans are automatically entered to win tickets to the show they desire to attend. Whether they win the tickets or not, a portion of the money goes to a participating charity or to the charity of their own choosing. It's a win-win for the artists, the fans and most importantly, the charities.
When fans do win the concert tickets, they will also receive airfare, hotel accommodations and travel to and from the show. Just like the celebrities, Fans for Charity contest winners are given the full VIP treatment. As the team at Fans for Charity says, "That's the life!"
"It is vital to us that fans have a fun experience at fansforcharity.com," stated Jean Star, creator of Fans for Charity. "We also hope that Fans for Charity leads as an example to other entrepreneurs that it's possible to build a business that does well while at the same time working towards helping others."
Fans for Charity has set out to support numerous charities including Keep A Child Alive, DKMS Americas and JBJ Soul Foundation, to name a few. So fans are not limited to charity choices, they will be allowed to choose a cause to donate to that may be close to their heart.
Also, Fans for Charity has a blog component which is used to break stories and keep fans informed of the latest news, share their love of entertainment and raise awareness to important causes. The blog also allows fans to communicate directly with the Fans for Charity base camp.
"We want the public to know that making a social impact can be an entertaining, fun activity," added Jean Star. "We have thought about the positive change and contribution the website is creating. As we say at Fans for Charity - the events you love, causes you support!"
