"These tools will help consumers conveniently find the apps they need and share them with friends"
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 5, 2010
Appolicious, Inc. a social networking website for iPhone app and Android app users, today released three new features: The Appolicious Facebook App, the Twicker Twitter-enabled ticker, and the Appo.me App Shortener. The Appolicious Facebook app allows mobile app enthusiasts to access Appolicious Curated App Lists, original reporting and professional app reviews through their Facebook page. The company also introduced Twicker, which allows users to view tweets and offers from sponsors and the Appo.me App Shortener, which gives the ability to easily create, grab and share a shortened URL that links directly to an app.
The newly launched Appolicious Facebook App centers on Appolicious' groundbreaking Curated App Lists. The Facebook App allows mobile application enthusiasts to find recommended iPhone and Android Apps for their hobbies and interests without ever leaving Facebook. "The user can easily find recommended mobile apps, quickly click through to download the apps -- and do it all within Facebook," said Alan Warms, the founder and CEO of Appolicious Inc, "We also provide Appolicious news and all our other features through this app."
Also released was Twicker, a Twitter-driven ticker prominently displayed at the top of every page on all three of the Appolicious-owned sites: Appolicious.com, AndroidApps.com, and AppVee.com. Twicker allows advertisers to send unlimited customized messages to the growing audience of all three sites via Twitter. "We're thrilled about Twicker," Warms said, "It connects our audience with tweets directly from sponsors - so our users can see special offers, news, and messages on every page of all three sites. It costs our sponsors a low monthly fee and for that, they can reach thousands anytime just by updating their Twicker message."
Appolicious also unveiled the Appo.me App Shortener App. Any social media fanatic knows the hassle of trying to find the exact URL for an individual iPhone App. With the Appolicious App Shortener, a user begins to type the name of the iPhone app and Appo.me automatically completes the app name and delivers a variety of shortened URLs to choose from. Users can then easily share the link to the iPhone app on their blog or on social sites such as Facebook or Twitter.
"We're always trying to solve the increasingly difficult problem of finding just the right app, and these tools will help consumers conveniently find the apps they need and share them with friends," Warms said.
