Increase in Online Shopping Spurs Electronics Suppliers to Grow Online Stores

Internet users swarm online shopping sites in lieu of searching for much-wanted items, including replacement parts for vintage equipment as well the hottest technology on the market, to avoid searching through multiple stores for their gadgets.

Thousands of people are using the Internet every day to search for the latest electronic products. Many use the internet as a tool to comparison shop and review product ratings before they head out to the store to purchase the items. What many people don’t realize is that they can save time, money and gas shopping online. The biggest reason for this is that most customers have more than one gaming system or like both the older and new systems. We have even has customers tell us that they use the new Playstation 3 for gaming and the original Playstation to watch DVDs because of the quality of the picture. We also have many people purchase the latest MP3 player along with a cheaper MP3 player simply because they want to have an MP3 player to take out on hikes or running without risking losing their songs and expensive player. Being able to service our customers like that is just one of the reasons we carry so many products”

Since the internets popularity began to increase in the late 90’s shoppers have been increasing the amount of time online and number of items they purchase from online stores. A recent survey determined that over 31% of items being sold online are electronics while 25% of CDs and DVDs are purchased online.

When presented with these numbers, Lazaris stated, “We aren’t surprised by these numbers, we have seen a continual increase in traffic and purchases to our site over the years. We recently read a report that stated that 85% of those who use the internet on a regular basis have purchased online. As a retailer we want to be sure that our customers have a great experience shopping with us. We also strive to get their orders out in a timely manner so they receive it quickly.”
