Neal Communities’ success has confirmed a real estate rebound in Manatee/Sarasota. The Lakewood Ranch-based home builder sold homes in all price points and has signed 47 contracts year-to-date, a rate of about one home per business day. The Mandalay community has fewer than ten homesites left and luxury home sales are gaining momentum with four homes sold at more than $1 Million. In December 2009, Neal opened the Westover II model in Greystone and four Westover II homes have already sold. Furthermore, visitor activity for the year is also strong with more than 1600 guests touring Neal models.

The out-of-market home buyers from around the United States, including Colorado and North Carolina, as well as international buyers from Columbia and South America have purchased homes in 2010.
According to The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Opportunity Index, “Nationwide housing affordability, bolstered by favorable interest rates and low house prices, closed out the year near its highest level since the series was first compiled 18 years ago.”
Neal Communities has experienced great success in homes selling in the ‘workforce priced’ range, especially in River Sound. River Sound Neal’s newest community, River Sound, celebrated its one-year anniversary in February and has already sold 111 of the 182 available homes. Most homes in this gated community on the Braden River are selling for less than $200,000.

Central Park is the newest village in Lakewood Ranch and is opening in July, 2010. It will feature many of the popular home styles that were first introduced in River Sound.
