Long plagued by unreliable vendors, inedible food and zero point accountability, Thought Scholastics, a division of Food for Thought, a 26 year old woman owned/ minority owned business, has taught the Chicago Land K-12 hot lunch market that there is a better way. Thought Scholastics has created a program that gives back to the PTO/ PTA group, uses an on staff nutritionist, and delivers hot, fresh lunch on a daily basis or as needed.

"TSS made my life as a PTO volunteer mother, much easier than when we had many different providers. Having an established, known and nutritional provider has made all the difference to our school district and our students. " -- Heather E., Glencoe School

Thought Scholastics has created a hot lunch program that gives back to the school donations as a percentage of the program cost. In these difficult economic times, Thought Scholastic has managed to marry a better lunch program with an cost beneficial concept where everyone involved benefit, especially the children.

Food For Thought is committed to providing a nutritious and delicious school lunch program. We are working closely with our corporate chefs and nutritionist to insure that students are getting the brain fuel they need to keep their education on track.

Food For Thought has partnered with schools on making the student foodservice eco-friendly, green and recyclable as well as delicious and nutritious.

Our concept of lunch as a daily catered event is so unique that the old guard of "fast unhealthy food" is quickly retreating into the model of community and brain food.
