Equifax, a global leader in information solutions, recently took home a prestigious MAX Award (Marketing Awards for Excellence) honoring a comprehensive marketing program created by Atlanta marketing agency BKV for the company’s Debt WiseTM product. Equifax’s Debt Wise is the first-ever debt payment plan product offered by a consumer reporting agency and powered exclusively by the credit report.
To promote Debt Wise, which uses information from the credit file to help subscribers create an online plan for paying off their debt faster, BKV designed and implemented a fully integrated marketing plan that used awareness-driving media such as television to drive leads to direct response platforms, including paid search and direct mail. The award-winning campaign also used social media initiatives, including a debt discussions application on Facebook. “Just under a year since its launch, Debt Wise has helped thousands of consumers map their path to debt freedom,” said Trey Loughran, President, Equifax Personal Information Solutions. “It is an honor to be recognized for our product innovation, and we’re extremely proud of the results this marketing program has achieved for Equifax.”
The Equifax Debt Wise entry was chosen from more than 50 applicants, a new record for the MAX Awards program. The MAX Awards, which recognize the best in new product, services and marketing innovations, were created in 1992 by Atlanta Business Chronicle publisher, Ed Baker, and Ken Bernhardt, professor of marketing at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. This year’s competition was judged by senior marketing executives who are members of Georgia State University’s Marketing RoundTable.
