Strong representation of Theodore E. Small Award for Excellence nominees use SISTEM training platform

We are so proud that Alchemy is helping these innovators make such a positive difference in each of their communities.

Alchemy, the leader in innovative training solutions for the global workforce, congratulates the winner and honorees of the 2010 National Association of Workforce Board (NAWB) Theodore E. Small Award for excellence. Announced this week at the 2010 NAWB Forum in Washington, DC, the nominees and winner represent Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs) who have worked closely with partners in the industry to develop valuable solutions for solving issues that effect their communities.

The winner of the award, Lancaster County Workforce Investment Board, from Lancaster, Pennsylvania has worked with Alchemy for over 3 years, using the SISTEM training platform to deliver and document multilingual job skills training that is relevant, accessible and effective. Honorable mention went to two other Alchemy customers and users of SISTEM, the North East Texas Workforce Investment Board and the Brevard Workforce Development Board.

“We are so proud that Alchemy is helping these innovators make such a positive difference in each of their communities,” said Rip Rowan, Vice President of Government and Non-Profit. “We know we have an outstanding product that helps people get good jobs - and this really underscores that fact.”

The SISTEM training platform offers workforce boards a large collection of job readiness courses that can be provided in a group-based setting using hand-held remotes or to individuals using the e-Learning format. Each 15 to 20 minute course is presented in a fun, interactive style that makes the information easy to understand for the job seekers and easy to deploy for the WIBs. In addition, individual job seeker results are automatically recorded and tracked to provide real-time documentation. SISTEM helps WIB accommodate large numbers of job seekers, implement employer specific training and most importantly, increase placements.

Alchemy is dedicated to providing technology and multimedia tools that foster the ongoing professional development of the global workforce. Through Alchemy’s training solutions, clients are able to effectively deliver, document and manage important training fundamentals in an efficient manner. Alchemy’s goal is to solve the challenges most WIBs face as they try to balance unemployment demands with reduced resources. For more information, please go to
