“This is a very exciting time for the brain fitness industry in general and especially for CogniFit. We are discovering new information about our brain and how to improve cognitive performance almost every week."

CogniFit™, Inc., a leading maker of Brain Fitness Software (http://www.cognifit.com), has opened its new United States headquarters in New York City. The new office will help CogniFit to provide improved customer service to the increasing number of businesses and individuals who use CogniFit products in the US. The company, which pioneered brain fitness and brain fitness software provides for adults and drivers of all ages, has its main office in Israel.

Brain fitness is a skyrocketing industry, with revenue projected to reach somewhere between $1 billion to $5 billion by 2015. This growth is being fueled by the aging baby boomer population, as well as insurers, employers and even governments seeking to reduce direct and indirect health care costs.

“This is a very exciting time for the brain fitness industry in general and especially for CogniFit. We are discovering new information about our brain and how to improve cognitive performance almost every week,” said Nathanael Eisenberg, a CogniFit Board member. “We will work towards increasing the number of partners that offer our innovative solutions, and we are excited for the opportunity to provide even better service to our consumers from our New York headquarters office.” said Eisenberg.

CogniFit Personal Coach is the flagship product from the company. It offers scientifically-validated software that delivers tailored, online cognitive training to fit the specific needs of individuals. The software adjusts the difficulty of the exercises during training so individuals using CogniFit software are challenged enough to improve their abilities but are not frustrated by the software’s level of difficulty. As users’ skills improve, the training also evolves. The software trains the 14 cognitive functions that are key to everyday life, such as naming, response time, visual perception and planning.

The same proven scientific principles that power CogniFit Personal Coach are employed by CogniFit in a family of brain fitness products for driving. These include CogniFit Senior Driver, CogniFit Fleet Driver and CogniFit Young Driver. All products include a comprehensive initial cognitive assessment, and training which adjusts to individual user requirements.

CogniFit recently announced a partnership with the Mental Health Association of Rockland County, which aims to maintain mental well-being through community outreach (MHARockland.org), in December 2009. The partnership, an extension of a $64,000 Community Empowerment Grant awarded to the MHA, is helping to bring educational programs and facilities to residents and encourage them to take part in cognitive training that supports lifelong mental well-being and healthy aging.
