Research findings indicate that married couples live longer than their single counterparts on average. Romance coach and “Soul Mate Magician,” Catherine Behan, discusses these findings and finding love in midlife.

At times, married life can seem more painful than blissful. Children fight over toys and spouses come home late from work. However, despite the ups and downs of marital life, researchers have consistently found that those who are married live longer lives than those who are single, whether they are divorced, widowed, or never married. So, what if you are one of the millions of midlife Americans who find themselves single in their 40’s and 50’s? Catherine Behan, M.A., a romance coach and “Soul Mate Magician” specializing in helping singles in their 40’s and 50’s find love, is here to share some of her secrets to finding love, and consequently longevity, in midlife.

Catherine Behan, M.A. has found that many single people have a mantra: “I wonder what’s wrong with me. I’ve created all of my vision boards, and I practice my affirmations day and night. I’ve read everything that Abraham Hicks has written—in fact, I could write their next book. What’s wrong? Why can’t I find that special person?” Behan says she has heard countless men and women who are frustrated with finding the ever seemingly elusive true love berate themselves with these questions, again and again.

Ever cheerful, Behan responds, “You know what? Maybe there is nothing wrong with you at all.” From her extensive experience as a romance coach, Behan has found that there are many men and women who could be in loving relationships, but who can’t seem to attain it. “What is stopping people isn’t some deep-set character flaw. Many of the people I see are highly successful in other areas of their life—they have successful careers for example—but who feel that they can’t find success in their love life.” Behan states that one of the tricks to overcoming loneliness and finding a lifelong partner is through balancing the self. By finding a balance among diverse areas of one’s life, in what she calls “love set points,” Catherine Behan says it is possible for single women and men to harmonize their mind, body, and soul, and thus be in a position to attract the “one.”

Catherine Behan, M.A., is a gifted romance coach who has been helping people find their true love for over 30 years. Also known as the “Soul Mate Magician,” Catherine Behan is known for her unique ability to help women “have their cake and it too”: specifically, giving their heart away while keeping it at the same time.
