As the company folded, Collet's parents were left hanging by a thread – laid off permanently, without a dime of compensation and without so much as a thank-you card for their years of service. In the end, after a protracted eight-year legal battle, Collet's parents were awarded just five per cent of the pension money that they, and other employees, were owed. During that period, Collet's mother became ill with cancer and subsequently died.
Collet was left shaken, angry and bitter – and thus began his personal search for understanding and knowledge of the factors that shape our world. The result of his quest is his first published book, Society of Secrets: The Hidden Knowledge and Agenda of Secret Societies Exposed!
Society of Secrets is Collet's biting, 152-page expose of the world around us. He talks about the hidden forces that shape our governments and their policies, the little-known workings of the Vatican and the Christian faith, the behind-the-scenes horrors of the medical establishment, and, yes, the "secret societies" that literally and figuratively shape our lives and our planet. The conclusions that Collet draws from his research are frightening.
Collet readily acknowledges that he does not profess to know all the answers, but in Society of Secrets, he makes a point of asking all the right questions, while drawing his own striking conclusions. His readers may agree – or they may choose to disagree – but that is not the point. This is a book for the truly inquisitive, for adult readers in search of answers. Society of Secrets is a book for those who might agree with the sentiment expressed in the book's introduction: "Your mind is like a parachute; it doesn't work if it's not open."
