Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) March 14, 2010 –-
Triangle Adventure Boot Camp, a fitness program for women in the Raleigh-Durham area, will take its upcoming Spring I session back outside following a three-camp span indoors. Though the indoor workouts were challenging and unique, being outdoors gives the instructor additional flexibility with the programming and activities and adds a sense of adventure for participants.
Most campers are anticipating the return to outdoor exercise to be both positive and motivating. During a recent survey of winter campers, one said “I love boot camp outside…especially when the stars are out,” and another stated “I am looking forward to the outdoors for the slightly different activities, the smell of fresh air, and the potential to see the sun rise!”
Being back outside also allows for more creative workout designs. “We have room to spread out, move greater distances, and use the environment as exercise props,“ says Jennifer Shevach, Triangle Adventure Boot Camp’s director and primary instructor. “Being outdoors allows me to design workouts that cannot be recreated in the gym or at home, and helps me to continually push my campers to their next fitness level by introducing new exercises.”
Triangle Adventure Boot Camp fuses personal training with group exercise in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Women from all over the Triangle engage each morning in a variety of activities designed to improve their level of physical fitness and boost their self-confidence. Triangle Adventure Boot Camp offers weight loss and strength gains to women of all fitness levels. Each 4-week camp consists of obstacle courses, cardio intervals, weight training, and core strengthening exercises, developed to maximize fitness gains in just one hour per day.
And not just any hour. These dedicated women meet each weekday morning at 5:30am – before work, before the kids are up, and before they start the rest of their day. “This is the no excuses hour,” says Shevach. “Fitting in your workout before the commotion of everyday life begins leaves you feeling accomplished and healthy throughout the day.” With the upcoming Daylight Saving Time change, the daily sessions will be in the dark and under the stars, creating the perfect backdrop for a motivating and challenging workout.
