Cornerstone Technologies LLC., a leader in data archival and data protection solutions, consulting, and IT Operational Services, announced today the company has been awarded a California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) (3-10-70-2723A) to represent Symantec Security, Software License and Software Maintenance solutions.

This government schedule simplifies the process for state and local government agencies in the State of California to purchase Symantec solutions through Cornerstone Technologies LLC. This award is significant because it allows agencies to directly acquire products and services through the CMAS contract without going to bid or through exhaustive competitive pricing procedures.

The contracts are utilized statewide by both California state and local government agencies under delegated authority from the Department of General Services. Agencies make best value purchasing decisions according to their own business needs such as price, warranty, and supplier performance.

Frank Velasquez, President of Cornerstone Technologies, stated, "We are very pleased to be awarded CMAS status. This opens up opportunities for our potential customers in California to follow their standard purchasing protocol by purchasing Symantec software and maintenance off the statewide contract. As a result, we are enabled to assist jurisdictions across the state in procuring their Symantec solutions through a Symantec Platinum partner who really understands Symantec solutions and the surrounding technologies.”

About CMAS: The California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS) program was established in 1994. The CMAS contracts are awarded and administered by the State of California, Department of General Services, Procurement Division, in accordance with Public Contract Code (PCC) Sections 10290 et seq. and Section 12101.5.

The CMAS contracts are established using products, services and prices from already existing competitively assessed and cost compared multiple award contracts. The products, services and prices are primarily from the federal General Services Administration (GSA) multiple award schedule program Federal General Services Administration (GSA), but not exclusively. To these products, services and prices, we add California contract terms and conditions and procurement codes and policies and establish a totally independent California contract.

Cornerstone Technologies was founded in 2007 by Frank Velasquez. Cornerstone technologies mission statement “The Bay Area’s premier engineering services organization focused on STORAGE, DATA ARCHIVAL and DATA PROTECTION technologies. We will accomplish this by being integral to the success of our customers and business partners. In the pursuit of this goal, we will embrace the values of faith, family and integrity in our employee and business relationships.”
