Register for April 7th Breakfast in Santa Clara

Rubric , a provider of localization services to the high technology industry for the past 15 years, will hold its 7th Birds of a Feather event on Wednesday, April 7th 2010, at David’s Banquet Facility in Santa Clara, CA. The event will feature four veteran panelists who will discuss the timely theme:

“Picking up the Mess Left by Internationalization
A Discussion on Improving the Interface between Internationalization and Localization”

The panelists include:

  •     Adam Asnes, President & CEO of Lingoport: An industry leader in internationalization
  •     Ian Henderson, CEO of Rubric: An industry leader in automated translation who has worked with L10N and I18N teams in Silicon Valley for 15 years.
  •     Michael Gnann, Localization Manager, PGP Corporation: Responsible for the localization of all product software UI and documentation releases for the various PGP products.
  •     Merle Tenney, Independent International Software Designer and Consultant: A 25-year veteran of managing, designing and developing products for the global marketplace

The panel will address the significant gap that often exists between I18N and L10N teams. They will draw from their own experiences to provide tangible and relevant solutions for better workflow and automation between the teams. The audience will consist of peers in the two disciplines who will have the chance to tell their own war stories, interacting with the panel and other audience members.

Rubric’s Birds of a Feather events have gained a strong following as relevant, accessible and interactive gatherings of localization practitioners in Silicon Valley. The event will begin at 8:30 and will include a light breakfast and time for networking and socializing. The panelists will debate for about an hour and then answer questions; the event will end at 10:30. The event is free, and space is very limited.
