San Francisco based start-up gaining traction in booming social gaming industry by offering deals on virtual currencies.

Ralleo, a collective bargaining marketplace that offers free and discounted specials on virtual currencies, successfully launched last week at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco March 9 - 12.

U.S. virtual good sales reached $1 Billion in 2009 and are estimated to grow to $1.6 billion in 2010, according to InsideSocialGames.com. Ralleo is aiding this growth by partnering with game developers and offering a new way to monetize existing users while driving new user acquisition. These limited time deals, or "rallies", require a minimum number of users to commit to the deal in order to unlock a redemption link for the offer. Ralleo is the first company to bring discounts outside the game and drive large volumes of users to redeem virtual currencies through viral merchandising techniques. Ralleo is the Groupon of virtual currencies, with a social gaming twist!

Ralleo.com, and its facebook application enable users to "rally" with their friends and meet the minimum required to unlock the virtual currency deal. Ralleo allows consumers to earn free and purchase discounted virtual currencies for their favorite Facebook games, online games and virtual worlds. Ralleo creates a game out of buying and earning virtual currencies, making it fun and engaging for the casual gamer.

Ralleo launched its first "rally" at GDC with the "Unlock Ralleo Campaign" whereby 1,000,000 users are encouraged to signup and tell their friends before Ralleo.com is unveiled to the public. Along the way, Ralleo will be offering virtual currency prizes such as free FarmVille Cash, IMVU Credits, Social City Bucks and more to lucky gamers who sign up.
