Il Bacco, an iconic Queens New York restaurant, will be expanding soon. The grand opening is planned for Summr, 2010. The new restaurant will feature dining facilities on two floors, catering for up to 150 patrons, an additional brick-oven pizzeria, and, most importantly, a significant increase in parking.

Giuseppe Oppedisano, a restaurateur for over 27 years, opened Il Bacco restaurant in 1992. Since then, Oppedisano, a native of Reggio Calabria, Italy, has been serving Italian specialties to neighborhood locals and travelers from as far as Westchester and Suffolk counties (no passports needed!), turning his establishment into a Little Neck Queens landmark.
In a recent interview Oppedisano said, “Our new restaurant will still retain the European flavor, but in an updated setting. Our loyal patrons will enjoy a more comfortable dining experience with some additional room, and our beautifully ambiance. I think our new parking lot will be a major convenience.”

Oppedisano explained the secret of his success: “I have always believed that in addition to offering an extensive menu of tasty, fresh food, what makes Il Bacco special is providing a traditional Italian welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. We treat customers like family, and that will not change.”

Il Bacco’s cuisine features the usual Italian favorites and classical dishes, all prepared fresh daily. In addition, nightly specials include choices of two or three appetizers, two pastas, three or four fish dishes, and a veal or chicken dinner. Of course, excellent wine is available to compliment every meal.

Typical reaction from Il Bacco’s loyal cliental:
“Best Italian in the Neighborhood - Being Italian, and a cook, I rarely go out for Italian food, but when I do, this is where I go. “

“We love this restaurant. Joe is wonderful and the food is always excellent.”

“We have been going to Il Bacco for over 10 years. The food is always fresh and very good.
The service is very good and Joe is always there to greet you and make you feel at home.
They will prepare anything you want.”

“The dishes here are dynamite, especially the fish mains.”

“Great food, great ambiance and excellent service!”
